Walking Together: Our Circuit Prayer Pilgrimage
In the week leading up to our Circuit Vision Day, churches across the High Wycombe Methodist Circuit took part in a shared Prayer Pilgrimage, inviting people to slow down, spend time with God and journey together in prayer.
Each church explored the theme of pilgrimage in its own unique way. There were prayer walks through churchyards, self-guided reflections inspired by the Stations of the Cross, and creative prayer stations exploring the journeys of Abraham and the Israelites. Others reflected on the Armour of God, travelled through the Lord's Prayer, or walked a labyrinth based on the Hundred Acre Wood. Along the way there were opportunities for all ages to take part, with outdoor trails, crafts, games, singing and family prayer hunts helping children and young people discover that following Jesus is an adventure for everyone.
Although every event looked a little different, together they formed one shared pilgrimage across our circuit. Pilgrimage reminds us that faith is not simply a destination but a journey—one that we make together, encouraging one another and trusting God to lead us, even when we cannot see the whole path ahead.
Thank you to everyone who organised events, welcomed visitors and took part. Whether you joined us for one activity or many, your prayers have been part of a journey that continues as we seek God's leading together.
