GDPR

The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 set out how organizations collect, use, store and protect personal information. As a church, we are committed to handling personal data responsibly, lawfully and securely.

The High Wycombe Methodist Circuit follows the guidance of the Methodist Church and the Trustees for Methodist Church Purposes (TMCP) in relation to data protection, as these are our two separate data controllers. If a data protection issue arises, identify who the appropriate controller is and then contact them.

Day to Day Matters

For most day-to-day matters relating to local churches, circuits and districts, TMCP acts as the Data Controller.

Safeguarding, Complaints & Discipline

Matters relating to safeguarding and complaints and discipline are managed by the Methodist Church in Britain (Connexional Team). This also includes Data Subject Access Requests (SARs).
